Windows 10: New generation of Windows

Is Windows 10 will be the best operating system for Microsoft ? Windows 8 & ME was laughably bad, and lasted only a little more than a year before Windows XP released as compare to  Windows ME’s badness was nothing compared to the awfulness that was Windows Vista, hardware-unfriendly and bug-ridden operating system with high-end system requirements and annoying features such as overly intrusive User Account Control.

Microsoft’s objective with Windows 8 was not to lead us all into the glorious future for our own benefit. Microsoft has one great asset: a huge desktop user base. It has one big weakness: no users to attract developers to its Windows Phone and Tablets. In other words, no customers in its app store. Windows 8 was to be a big part of the solution: convert desktop users to Windows Store users. This however may not be really of much interest to Windows desktop users, who don’t actually get any benefit from this. It’s funny, but this seems to irritate people. Microsoft spends millions testing its products on users, so there is no way the Windows 8 debacle was unpredicted, but it did it anyway. At this point, Microsoft lost a lot of respect I think; this is obvious when it comes to Enterprise which adds up retraining tens of thousands of users for no benefit to productivity. To some of the most important people in the business, CIOs, it doesn’t make sense and they haven’t done it. Microsoft didn’t underestimate users, they just made decisions which were about Microsoft’s needs. Enterprise has always loved Microsoft for its backwards compatibility; Windows 8 was a broken promise in a sense, and the money has voted with its feet. So have consumers apparently.

For desktop users, Windows 8 removes a lot of crud, and therefore starts faster, and there some minor improvements here and there. The reduction of bloat is great, but it’s stretching it to call it a “feature” when it’s really a bug fix. I, for one, love the new Task Manager, but this is really Windows 7.1. Windows 10 sounds like it will be great, it’s just silly it had to be like this. Microsoft won’t do Windows 8 again, I think they now no longer could even if they wanted to, as desktop is clearly a legacy platform at home and at work. Users don’t look for desktop innovation anymore than they want anyone to redesign their power sockets.

Being worse than Windows Vista takes similar work , but Windows 8 has proved to be up to the task. It bit struggle and forces users of traditional computers to wrangle with an operating system built for touchscreen tablets. Even Rube Goldberg would have been embarrassed to sketch out something like this.

“Windows 10 os that is use as the single OS for all the devices (desktops, laptops, mobiles & tablets) has been hailed as having potential of delivering much to the businesses in the form of certain sought after features that range from data security to productivity.”

Windows 10 gives Microsoft a chance to trend upward, transform up the foundation of its operating system, and add some latest features that will excite its performance . The Windows 10 update was promised to be a launched this year.

What we do know is that Windows 10 is a one-size-fits-all OS, providing “One store, one way for applications to be discovered, officially launched , purchased, and updated across all of these devices,”
